However, today when I tried to exchange a gift, which was unworn and still had all the tags intact I was told that it was against Debenhams policy to exchange a gift without a receipt. So if you receive a gift you don't want then it's tough luck if you don't have a receipt. Debenhams just lost themselves a couple of loyal customers
